Users sometimes experience an error when using Day One Sync. This is a known issue and we are working to resolve this as soon as possible.

This is the error:

Error Domain=DOWebErrorDomain Code=404 "No journal with id ###,### was found." UserInfo={NSErrorFailingURLStringKey=https://dayone.me/api/sync/entries/######, NSLocalizedDescription=No journal with id ###,### was found., DOHTTPErrorResponseStringKey={"code":404,"error":"No journal with id ###,### was found.”}}

Steps to resolve:

  1. Sign out of Day One Sync on all devices.
  2. Sign in to Day One Sync on all devices. On Mac, click the drop-down arrow and choose Other Day One Login to manually enter your credentials.

3. If you still see the sync error, try moving your entries to a brand-new journal, then delete the old journal.
