If you are experiencing problems with data not syncing between devices, please try these steps to sign out of Day One Sync on all devices and sign back in.  

Syncing is available between devices with Plus or Premium user status.


  1. Open Day One on iOS and tap on the Settings icon.
  2. Tap your account (Name, email) at the top.
  3. Tap Sign Out.
  4. Tap Sign In then Day One Account or Apple ID.
  5. Manually enter your Day One Sync login credentials. If you use Apple ID, Day One will used the stored information on your device.
  6. Tap Enable Sync on the popup. 


  1. Open Day One and click Day One > Preferences in the file menu.
  2. Click the Sync tab.
  3. Click Sign Out and then click to Stop Syncing.
  4. Click Sign In
  5. Enter your email address and password.
  6. Click Sign In
  7. Click Enable Sync


  1. Open Day One on Android and open the navigation drawer
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Account
  4. Tap Sign Out.
  5. Tap Yes
  6. Tap Account/Sign In > Existing User > Day One Account
  7. Manually enter your Day One Sync login credentials. 
  8. Tap Enable Sync on the popup. 

After completing the above steps, Day One should have the same data on all devices.
